Update: Summerwill’s tweets have been removed, so we’ve added in a screencap of his more-recent comments instead. This hasn’t been a good month for the Wii U
It’s official, Fuck EA
Fuck’em straight to hell!

Netflix is being lacking lately, let me state the good content we’re missing out because of their neglect
- Scaredy Squirrel
- Max & Ruby (Nelvana owns it, not MTV Networks - just to clear things up)
- the 1991-1997 Rupert Bear cartoon
- The Dreamstone
- both versions of The Wombles
- Mongrels
- The Jackson Five cartoons
- Nelvana’s version of The Care Bears
- ALF and ALF Tales
- every Bill Plympton film outside of “Idiots and Angels”
- Cosgrove Hall’s “The Wind in the Willows”
- The Avengers (the british spy-fi show)
- Bimble’s Bucket
- Rastamouse
- both versions of The Basil Brush Show
- The majority of the American International library
- every incarnation of Fat Albert
- MST3k
- Thunderbirds
There’s a ton more that i can list as to what we’re missing thanks to their snobby neglect, Demand Netflix to put them on for streaming NOW!
I’m about as mad as you guys are about the whole May 1st stream ordeal but we should demand our content from Netflix in anyway possible
The following are those we should demand Netflix to pick up for streaming here in the US
Mongrels (reason: Hulu Plus is clunky piece of rubbish and Netflix has no facking commercials!)
Rastamouse
reason: There’s no legit outlet to see this great toon here in the US outside of piracy
The Dreamstone
reason: While obscure here in the US (mostly our fault for that), The series is a imaginative adventure series
Calimero
reason: The US has been neglected of this cute character since the 1970s, It’s time for him to shine in the US and Netflix would do the job
Calimero - Teaser 3D from Gaumont Animation on Vimeo.
Rupert (1991-1997)
reason: We got Redwall, Tintin and Babar for streaming - let Rupert have his share of the spotlight
While these are obscure to most of us Americans
We could say it’s ourselves to blame for their obscurity and it’s time to mend this immediately
It’s time SOMEBODY has to say it and i guess i’m the person to do it
Nickelodeon doesn’t care about Max & Ruby, allow me to explain
TV: As of now, No new episodes of Max & Ruby on Nickelodeon as Nick for some reason thought it’s a good idea to let the show rot in rerun hell - even though in Canada, Treehouse (owned by Corus Entertainment, the parent company of Nelvana Enterprises) has been running a lot of new episodes of the show as of recent. I’m not saying Max & Ruby is the only show that’s being snubbed by Nick - shows like Peter Rabbit and TUFF Puppy are also getting the cold shoulder from Nick but anyway, also more alarming is they refuse to acknowledge Max & Ruby in their recent upfronts leaving paranoia to Max & Ruby’s fans in the US as to whether the show will see another season or be axed
Merchandising: as of now, no new merchandise involving Max & Ruby in the US :(
Digital Distribution: Max & Ruby fans are sadly trapped in the nickle-and-diming zone as Nick wants your money and not the support of the IP or fandom
to prove my point, Max & Ruby is not on Netflix (here in the US — AT ALL!) but it’s on Amazon Instant Video but unfortunately you have to pay for EVERY. SINGLE. SOLIDARY. SEASON! - I can only let this practice go in regards of iTunes but this is ridiculous
DVDs/Home Entertainment: There’s no easy way to put this — under Paramount’s Home Entertainment division and the Nick Jr brand, Max & Ruby has very little in terms of DVDs — in fact, in the retail market they are like the Where’s Waldo or in some cases the Carmen Sandiego of Kids DVDs in terms of availability
plus as for chances of season sets, under Nick - i bet “Fat Chance”
To sum this all up, It’s time to let Nelvana know that Max & Ruby deserves better here in the US
and ask for them to revoke Nickelodeon and Viacom’s rights to the Max & Ruby IP of which they (Nelvana) own and give it to someone that would care… LIKE NETFLIX!
